The fall season is upon us and we all must get things done to make our homes fire safe. Make sure your heating appliances get their yearly service. Your smoke detectors get their bi-annual new battery, you carbon monoxide detector gets their new batteries as well.
If you have a Kidde combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector, Please call the fire prevention office at (856) 456-0750. Your detector may have been recalled. Only the Dual Combination Units have been recalled.
The Borough Officials are still getting a lot of complaints about the use of outdoor fire places. Please use these outdoor fire pits with seasoned dry firewood, cut to proper length, and the manufacturers recommendation for proper use.
Be mindful of neighbors, wind direction and proximity of these fire pits.
