A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE.....

Do you remember when......

• Route 130 was a 2 lane road..?

• Residents could park in front of their homes..?

• Ice cream cones were 5 cents and hamburgers were 15 cents at Goldy's on Route 130 (now Wayne's Log Cabin parking lot)..?

• When you knew everyone in town by name..?

• The small firehouse on Browning Lane was the only one and housed the Borough's single fire truck..?

• The 8th grade teacher was also the principal..?

• The school had no kindergarten and only used 1 floor for classrooms..?

• In order to get from one side of town to the other there were steps high over the railroad at New Jersey Road and a tunnel at Town Center..?

• The Acme (American Store) in the end store on Browning Road and the A & P on Browning Road near the railroad..?
